Our History Durbin & Company, L.L.P. is a limited liability corporation engaged in the practice of public accounting. Kenneth C. Durbin founded the firm in December 1981 providing professional tax and auditing services in the West Texas area. In January 1987, J. Brandon Durbin became a partner, and in September 1987 the firm was engaged to conduct its first hospital audit. This proved to be a good niche market for the firm, and today our health care client list includes hospitals, rural health clinics, and medical practices in Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico. The firm currently has four partners, and a Senior Financial Consulting member that are involved in all aspects of the firm. The firm’s professional accounting staff is assigned to work in various areas including hospital audit and consulting engagements, cost report assignments, and tax engagements. Since 1989, Durbin & Company, L.L.P. has been a member of the Private Companies Practice Section of the AICPA, and undergoes a professional peer review by an independent CPA every three years.
